How DAMA Works

A five-year deed of agreement between the Australian Government and a Designated Area Representative (DAR), such as state or territory governments or regional bodies. Employers in the designated area enter into individual labour agreements under the head agreement's terms and concessions, allowing them to sponsor overseas workers. Endorsed employers can sponsor and nominate overseas workers for DAMA-specific visa programs, facilitating their employment in the region.

Benefits of DAMA

Access to a wider pool of skilled and semi-skilled workers to fill critical labour shortages, supporting business growth and regional development. Opportunities to work and live in Australia, with potential pathways to permanent residency, contributing to community sustainability. Enhanced economic activity and population growth, leading to more vibrant and resilient communities.
